I was diagnosed T2 just after Christmas but was prediabetic for a year. I haven't been taking it seriously even though I know I should. I have a lot of weight to lose which is having a massive effect on my mobility. This morning I decided to use the blood glucose monitor I bought 3 months ago and was shocked to get a reading of 18.4 mmol/l after a 14 hour fast. As you can imagine it has motivated to finally get my act together and I'm hoping to get tips and recipes from diabetes uk and this forum.
