Just been told that I have Type2. Found by accident while they were trying to work out why I lost my voice.! Voice is back, so something 🙂

Welcome to the group, you will find us a great source of advice, support & entertainment

Hi @Archfarchnad and welcome to the forum. Glad to hear that you have your voice back, but what surprise it must have been! Great that you have come here, you can learn quite a bit from reading others' posts as well as asking your own questions, so feel free to ask any questions that pop up. We're here to answer them!

There are some useful links and resources, as recommended by our members, in our 'Newly diagnosed' links page that you may find helpful: https://forum.diabetes.org.uk/boards/threads/useful-links-for-people-new-to-diabetes.10406/

Did you get any information from your GP when you were diagnosed - about food, or testing blood glucose levels. Have you been prescribed any medication?
Be great to know a bit more and we can start to help, but baby steps at first.
Step 1: Enjoy having your voice back 🙂

Funnily enough, I was having singing problems which prompted me to go to the doctor - an impulsive blood test while I was there led to my diagnosis (T1), and since then I've been singing better than I had been in months! I guess my body knew something was wrong but not what, and this stress had to come out somewhere!

Hope your voice is better, good luck with your treatment 🙂

Welcome to the forum! Why supermarket?

Hi.

Welcome to the forum🙂.

Brando77, 5.45am are you mad?

Welcome! You will find a lot of info here but it will definitely help you manage your diabetes, it certainly did for me 🙂 take your time and read as much as you can, ask anything you need to, there is no such thing as a stupid question 😉

My singing voice has improved a lot since getting my BG levels down after diagnosis.

Thanks. Doc has put me on Sukkarto SR 500 twice a day.. Just curious at the minute how or what I should be expecting. I have a few other issues like blood pressure, sleep apnea (which I have always had just didnt know what it was called till a couple of years ago) and over weight...
