Quick question : if the honeymoon phase is over, will we see a big hike in the insulin dosage, assuming we ate almost the same food ?
normally you will because the food is not the only thing that makes your BS go higher there is another factor that incrases the BS that's the liver giving out BS that's why we have a long term insulin two or by pumps the basal rate so its going to increase with between 5 and 10 %
bot hill be fine with it and we are so sorry to hear that the party is over
that's how its by most but its still different by awry person like helly sad

Typically, if everything is normal, will u see an increase ?
There is no "typical".
For me, my honeymoon period lasted about 7 years and my insulin dose increased slowly over that time.
Why are you asking?
Has your son's insulin dose suddenly seen a big hike?

like i sad its by awry single person different and there is no official role only time could tell you and i hope that he will be fine till the time pases thruw

Do you get frustrated when at times your readings are not that good ? I see my kid get annoyed. Do you think he is stressing himself out ? What is the advice can a mom give ?

All you can do is be aware that things will change and be on the look out for trends when they do so you can react.
End of honeymoon is not a bad thing to be stressed about - for many it is the start of more stability.

The only predictable thing about diabetes is that it’s unpredictable. The longer you have it the more you’re able to guess why things happen but even then there will be times where it makes no sense as to why you’re really high or having a lot of lows or whatever.

Aiming for between 4 and 10 and being kind about readings of 10-14 will help. There will be times when glucose readings are higher because of the weather, because carb counting wasn’t quite right, because the snack that he thought would be fine without insulin wasn’t. All of that is normal. And you can get a good Hba1c even with lots of higher readings.

when your BS is not good your feelings are mast up and there is nothing really what to do beside take insulin and to rest till it goose down and always be happy with his BS reading because its impossible to get it good all the time awry single person with diabetes has his ups and downs and his good and bad times you could see it on the 7 days average group we all have good morning's and bad ones to the main thing is always smile and be happy
And i know that hope hill be fine
