Hi
I’ve just been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes yesterday.
Well, a bit overwhelmed to tell you the truth. I haven’t had my appointment with the diabetic doctor or nurse yet, I don’t see either until the 23rd.....so no medication prescribed but I have been told by my GP it’s likely to be tablets.
I don’t have any figures except my doctor said my blood sugar was 57 something or other, I was just given the other appointment, a load of paperwork to read through and a lot of worrying until then.
So, help! What do I eat... or avoid eating? If I have to have tablets, do I have to check my blood sugar daily? or more frequently? Lots of questions... no answers from my doctor .
Thanks in advance
Karen
