Thanks Mike. I might have to work out how yo turn the sound off then as when you add the strip there is a recorded message
Which monitor is it? A quick Google will return the instruction manual I’m sure.It has a booming ‘Please insert the blood sample’. I’m sure there must be a way to turn it off.
th aks again everyone for your help
Change your lancet when it hurts or when you can’t get it to draw enough blood.Ahh thank you. I’m in an open office environment, so I’ll have to do it in the loo for privacy. I’ve been changing my lancet each time, good to know there’s no need thanks. How often should you change it then? Can I put the strips in the bin if they have blood on? Should I wash them first? Thank you, this is so new to me.

Every six months?! Wow! I thought I was doing well at about a week per lancet!I change lancets about every 6 months.
Once you get the hang of it, I doubt anyone will notice you doing it at yr desk.
Edit: Oh apart from the booming voice! But I guess there must be a way to turn that off
