Been a little while now, since I last posted.
Still on the LCHF, and around 170lb (down from 215lb).
Had my latest HBA1C result today, so that's 10 months now since I was diagnosed (99).
So last test in Nov and I was down to 30, and they dropped my Metformin from 4 to 2.
I was expecting a higher result, surely. I mean 30 is low right?
Couldn't believe it - latest HBA1C result was 28. Twenty Eight!
The DN wants to try me off the Metformin for three months and review.
He was a bit concerned my cholesterol went up from 4.5 to 5.4.
He mentioned statins if that doesn't change.
That freaks me out TBH.z
I think I can tweek my diet and drop my cholesterol. I'm not worried. My blood pressure was 134/70 and I walk a mile a day. Genuinely - I think I'm in good health.
So all in all - pretty solid results. For me, at least, LC seems to be working out. Just trying to keep it on the level. Too much to throw away after all this hard work.
