So wanting mackerel fillets for tea tomorrow would it be ok to have poppadoms with them x

To be honest I have not tested poppadum's, but if they are the ones fried in oil then that will effectively lower the GI of the flour they are made from. Sure way to find out is to test though.

I worry about giving foods a go since being diagnosed haha x

Well each one is approx. 40g carb apparently so Lord knows what the ones we used to have from the Indian supermarket were! Naturally they weren't marked with such things, no brand name. The black pepper ones were great. I used to do em under the grill - but you CANNOT take your eyes off em whilst cooking! (else they'll just burn)

That would be very surprising, as they can't weigh more than about 10g - it's hard to find the weight of just one, but I've just found a packet weighing 100g and it contains 10 - different pages show nutritional values about 30/50% carbs, so you could have quite a few at avg 4g carb each.

The Sharwood ones are only 3.9g each, I have a couple with a curry to little ill effect; (they only weigh 8g each). I think perhaps Jenny means for a 100 gram pack

yeah confused me a bit had to go check the back of the pack again to make sure I'd got it right Pataks only have 3.7g each so might have 3 or 4 haha x

Well I was deeply shocked but there again I'd looked em up online (since we haven't had a curry for years now) and it said 'each' LOL

Well I've never actually had poppadoms before but pushed the boat out and had 4 garlic and corriander ones with my tea OH MY they were lovely and my grandad bought a spare packet so a poppapom may become my snack with some cheese over the next few days 🙂 x

I find a couple of poppadoms have little effect on my blood sugar. In fact they are ideal as a snack instead of crisps.
