Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
I am a 72 (since Friday !) year old who was only diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes ten years ago. Living in France at the time there was not a lot of support and I was given insulin and a chart but no other advice (the chart listed blood sugar levels and the doses of Insulin to make).. As I am now permanently living back in the UK I need to communicate with others like me if possible ! Thankyou

Hello @JONZAC and welcome to the forum 🙂
There are quite a few of us on here who were diagnosed with type 1 in our 40s, 50s, & 60s, so you are not alone.
There's a lot of information on this site, and if there's anything in particular you're struggling with please do ask, someone here is sure to be able to help.
You might find some of the links on this page helpful - https://forum.diabetes.org.uk/boards/threads/useful-links-for-people-new-to-diabetes.10406/ - I realise you're not new to diabetes, but they might provide you with some of the information you've been lacking (though it sounds as though you've done amazingly well to make it this far with such minimal advice and support).
