Hello all. I'm newly-diagnosed with borderline diabetes. Really hoping I can reverse it. Please will somebody tell me - is it ok to put a little glucose powder on my cereal, and is it ok to eat honey on my bread? (Hope nobody's confused about the applications of the word Fructose. High-sugar corn syrup is called 'fructose', but it is not real fructose. Fructose occurs in most fruits, some vegetables, and honey. Real fructose does not involve the pancreas). However, I read on the internet that honey, glucose etc can cause the formation of triglycerides, whatever they are. I'd be grateful for some help from somebody a lot more experienced with managing diabetes than I am!
