Just found this. A drop of 20 since October is something to be proud of. I can totally understand being a bit disappointed at first when you get your result. With all the effort put in and the waiting for the magic number, it is always going to be something of an anti climax. I think it's great that you were a big disappointed as it shows you still want it. It still matters and you are motivated to keep going. For my money this is an even greater achievement.
Hope the chips were good 🙂
Thanks steph...I do get tense waiting for results...for someone who normally exercises good self control...frustrates me...but there you are...I'm exposed😱😱...I am pleased with the results...as said my motivation is still strong...so didn't/haven't had the chips...feeling virtuous for now...however...may surrender some of those principles at the weekend...cheers!

I'm a bit late to this party, but well done, @Bubbsie. I think they are great results. Pre diabetic levels is something to be proud of. My review is this afternoon & don't think I'll beat my previous HbA1c of 35. My averages have been higher this time. I've been taking omega 3 supplements to see if it improves my cholesterol. We will see.

Mark...come on you'll be fine...do you really thing any of that sugar/glycogen would dare stick to that Teflon coated blood of yours😱😱😱...seriously fingers crossed...why don't you get your results online beforehand...always helps me just in case ol' Dr Max Medication tries to fill me full of more Metformin (again!!!)...can get ready for that...ask if your surgery provide that service...good luck with the results...and maybe have a chat with you on the cholesterol matter...remember you made a valid point on here...about Cholesterol being high overall...but need to consider the ratios/breakdown of HDL...LDL...& Trigs...Thanks.

Our surgery don't provide on line blood results yet.:(

@Bubbsie - Well done on trimming the HbA1c back a bit again.

If you are dreading the lipids conversation at your review, then having a look at the QRisk2 calculator is likely to put you onto the same information page as your Doc. https://qrisk.org/2016/ That's generally where they will go to calculate your risk factors. The follwoing website is useful too: http://www.hughcalc.org/chol-si.php

My total lipids always come to an inconveniently large total, but the components say something different. Once the trigs get down below a certain number (forgive me, but I forget the suggested level), the chances are the LDL is actually big, fluffy, as opposed to small, dense LDL, which is actually good.

Maybe a look at the good old Professor Sikaris YouTube video could be an investment of your time.

He also does another presentation on "Blood Tests to Assess Your Risk".

Until my GP got her head around things, I used to take a note of the urls and links for the papers/pages or clips I had referenced, and used to leave those with her. All part of my two-way education programme. 😉

Good luck next week.

Thanks Jangles...getting there...just not quite arrived yet:D:D:D.

It's a fantastic result, I hope mine is as good when it's done!

Well done Bubbsie on your hba1c falling. Brilliant for you
