Which numbers are causing the anxiety? Can you stop taking them or are they essential?Since being diagnosed my anxiety has increased and me and food have a hate hate relationship.....major anxiety over numbers...and just feel like it's all a bit much...all the stigma around T2D doesn't help...
thank you - I have been using a Dexcom (self funded) I can't bear the finger pricking....but comments are made around "its a lifestyle disease etc and so it's my fault I have this - so i just dont want to eat at the best of times..Are you on any medication for the diabetes @kay88 ? I see from your earlier post that you have PCOS. That can cause insulin resistance and put you at higher risk of Type 2. It’s not your fault. Just concentrate on eating well and exercising and then you’ll know you’re doing the best you can for your body.
Are you fingerpricking? Is that what’s causing the anxiety around food?

Thank you, I am going to look into these diets..I suggest you have a look at the Harcombe Diet and the Freshwell low carb website. Either of these approaches will fill you with good food and confidence for the future.
Also have a look at the short Diabetes UK T2 Remission video on this website or on YouTube. Message: lose weight now and enjoy good health in future.
The dexcom- numbers were quite high - but maybe that is causing some of the problem...I am so overwhelmend right now...Which numbers are causing the anxiety? Can you stop taking them or are they essential?

Thank you everyone - it has been tough,
I just had a call from a diabetes pharmacist! She wants to do some blood test looking for antibodies ?? for another kind of diabetes? She didnt explain what that was - does anyone have any ideas?
I thought they did this already!
Goodness I am sorry to hear you are subject to those comments. How nasty. It is not necessarily the fault of the patient. I was listening to Alexander Van Tulliken the other day and he was talking about ultra processed foods and how that is causing a lot of health problems. I think personally it is unfair to blame the patient. I know lots of people who are diabetic and pre-diabetic. It is becoming more and more common.thank you - I have been using a Dexcom (self funded) I can't bear the finger pricking....but comments are made around "its a lifestyle disease etc and so it's my fault I have this - so i just dont want to eat at the best of times..
