Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Good morning all, I'm newly diagnosed T2. I'm starting metformin on Monday when I pick up my script. I thought I'd post a little about myself. I'm 44 single and I live in sunny rhyl. I've 2 teenage daughters who live with thier dad but I see or speak to them daily so that's good. I'm a happy little soul most of the time unless I'm hangry!!! I guess we all know that one rite?!?
As well as being T2 I also have fibromyalga so I'm very interested to see once my meds kick in and I get to grips with my new food lifestyle how it will impact my fibro. The nurse suspects that some of my symptoms are doubling over each other and having spent the last 2 days reading I see that both illnesses run hand in hand. Im on pretty high pain meds and sleep meds for this. And yes i do see the irony in that having had taken my sleep meds I'm awake at 5.23am typing this post. 🙂 I also have asthma but I'm mostly clear of my inhalers. From being a teen I've struggled with my mental health and I have to admit that I've struggled quite a lot this year but I know I'm definitely not alone in this. I take meds for this also, I'm yet to research how other meds impact diabetes.
So that's a little about me, I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and I'm also looking forward to gaining knowledge about diabetes so I can make the best choices for my health and well-being.
Love CL xx
