Group 7-day waking average?

Good morning folks. Had a rare lie in this morning. 5.9 is a good start to the day.

Congratulations on your HS @Barrowman
How is your grandson doing after his fall @Homer ?
@eggyg you have been properly munched. I hope the antibiotics work. The itching must be driving you mad
Welcome to this thread @OldBuzzard

Off to a guided walk with some friends later this morning. The Pros and Cons of Horncastle. It's all about the prostitutes and convicts of Horncastle's seedier areas in days gone by. Looking forward to it. Plus we will have coffee and cake afterwards.

Have a good Wednesday and keep safe.
Evening SM,
Sounds like my kind of walk looking at social history but not in the Dickens way.
Must admit have been to Horncastle a couple of times but can’t imagine it had a seedy side maybe a Latin Quarter as it always saw it as a paragon of respectability but appearances can be deceptive lol

Can't come soon enough. I was just having a "conversational moan" (as opposed to a rant) with MIL today about how my surgery seem to be directing me down the "ignore managing your diabetes and just take more drugs like a good girl" route.

Our trip to the Northwest has been postponed until next year. We're hoping to visit a chippy in Wigan to try "Smack barm pea wet"

10.6 today, followed by 10.3 after and hour and a half. Not eating doesn't bring it down significantly, but I'm not yet convinced eating does either. The experiment continues...
Yes Debs one of the Profs from Birmingham was very effusive about the news.
When you go to Wigan be sure you enjoy the local delicacies.
So they do a Cake and Cake which is a Fishcake in a Barm Cake and a Wigan Pie which is a Pie encrusted in another Pie.

I'm not risking a Wigan Pie as pastry is my BG nemesis. Is that the same as a Wigan Kebab? Might go halves on a Babby's 'ed (sp?) as I believe it's a suet pudding rather than a pie.

In case it's not obvious, I got all my knowledge of such matters from the Lancashire Hotpots
Yep Debs none of it is BG friendly and you seem up to date with the local Wigan delicacies. If you like your meat Frasers butchery in Little Lever, more Bolton than Wigan is worth a visit.( very nice pork pies).
Plus of course you have the Heinz factory in Wigan so you can choose between Beans or Mushy peas to complete your meal.

Apparently when the famous Horse Fairs happened Horncastle became a den of iniquity. A cavalry regiment was stationed on the edge of town to assist the local constabulary in the 1800s. Unfortunately, the troopers frequently ended up drunk and brawling in the many pubs and brothels in the town. There used to be tunnels under the market square connecting various pub cellars so smugglers could carry out their illicit trade and dodge the Customs & Exise men.

Gosh SM I will look upon Horncastle in a different light but your description of the past would enthrall me.

FINALLY some stability! Only ate once today: very distracted with cdrama & Great Escape main episode of a new mission 4 part 1 this week; left me in the 7’s after active NR & it stayed there for hours while I slept a bit! 🙂

And then the 1 unit higher dose tomorrow & see what that does?

ABSOLUTELY NEED A STABLE BASE of basal especially, when distracted & I AM with both Moonlit Reunion & Great Escape on at the same time! 3 MLR Cast Livestreams were also broadcast, loaded onto youtube, today, as they do for every new drama released, where the fans get to ask questions so, a LOT to watch! o_O😛<3

Very glad my BS was stable today well, apart from the hypo & then, high BS after with a cautious bolus for a carb loaded meal! 🙂😱:D

I gave up waiting to be the blessed recipient of the mythical monthly log-in code and re-registered. The confirmation of this email took mere seconds.

I’m assuming you can guess who this is!

🙄 thinking maybe somebody has cloned Colin ?

GM,

5.3 for me Knee exercises call.
Woke up with cramp, haven't had cramp for years. Something new to add to my ever increasung medical a-z list or just bad luck? Time will tell. Sigh

Morning a 6.2 for me after being low before bed and a protein bar and 3 Dextrose but stayed lowish and despite falling into red a couple of times in night I took no further action.
It gave me one of best nights sleep and lowest overnight averages but I am normally much higher so just getting that balance right which is everyone’s dream.
Had a nice walk last night for a couple of miles in countryside befriended it got dark then picked up son from work.
Really fabulous day yesterday with a drive to Oswestry and then lunch in Llangollen as could not get parked in Chirk where I have a favourite spot. One of those days where I would pay them as just so nice and then more Cheese and Onion Pie at night.
So dogs walked and gave to take one of our Dogs in for Dental today so have to ensure no biscuits lying about and they all wonder why no breakfast?
Off to Wrexham today.
PS Low alarm just gone off so I must have dropped through the magic HS so can’t claim one today 🙂

Too early for difficult “ guessing games” and I just thought you were another Colin not “ the Colin”.
Happens to be my brothers name so am surrounded by them 🙂

The world couldn’t cope with two Colin’s in it!

Or maybe the world just doesn’t deserve twice as much fabulousness!

6.6 this morning mes amis.

And hope everyone’s ok. Mixed day yesterday. Had one of my turns whilst at the gym yesterday. Quite a bad one and had to sit on the floor. Lasted a whole 15 seconds or so but I’d known it was coming for hours beforehand. Finished the workout though.

In other news I settled on costume for the Halloween party on the cruise. I’ve ordered a Christmas elf costume plus a meat cleaver dripping in blood. I’m going to go for deranged, possibly zombie, Christmas elf.

Morning all. 🙂 5.2 !

You're back! @Colin2 - sorry to hear about your funny turn.

Well and truly stuck in the mist this morning. Today's plan: Walk the dogs, then nip into town for some shopping. We're going out tonight, so I'll take it easy on the orchard-clearing front. It wipes me out!
