Group 7-day waking average?

Welcome back @BobbleHat.

Congrats on the HS @Barrowman.

Lovely photos @Grannylorraine. Looks like you had a good time and great weather.

I've just got back from the first cinema trip of the day. We really enjoyed Freakier Friday. Jamie Lee Curtis is great.

Morning all. Sleepless night, possibly a mix of heat and noisy neighbours but c’est la vie.

6.7

It’s already hot and forecast is for 31 degrees. I might gym but honestly I’m more likely to just stay in today if it’s truly scorchio.
I wish you would send the sun up here, it’s very dull and grey. No heatwave for us

Good afternoon. 8.9 this morning. My BG is rising with the temperature again. Out in the garden early before it git too hot. Shredded lots of pear and plum tree prunings. They smelled lovely. I tipped a truthful into the chicken run. They love ruffling through it for spiders and other tasty treats.
I would gladly swap our weather for yours @Homer
Congratulations on the HS @eggyg and @Barrowman
Welcome back @BobbleHat
Have a good Monday folks. I am chilling after a nice ham salad. Back in the garden this evening when it cools down.

I got about 3 hours of sleep when in house pharmacist called 12:29 & took my waking BS after the call 12:37 BS 9.8.

It seems that my memory is no longer perfect, actually been aware of that & already noticed a bit of decline around age 39/40 as mind, IQ, memory etc. reaches its peak at age 35 & it’s a decline from there, as I’ve been on 31G 6mm since 2013 when going on insulin & it was the Softclix Lancets that were 28G;: why it’s ingrained on my memory as I changed my lancets after every prick due to increased sensitivity from neuropathy; went through boxes of lancets much faster than most people & kept seeing 28G on them! So, I don’t know why I’m bending the 31G needles NOW?

Pharmacists will check with my DSN team at the Causeway Hospital, had to do that too when changing to the reusable pens & cartridges as I’m officially under their care, so, a bit of delay in getting different needles although we did have a mini consultation on what needles are available: what is better; longer, shorter or thicker! The thicker needles are longer with 30G 8mm & there’s 31G 4mm!

Anyway, finally put in Tresiba of 50 at 13:13 after scanning 13:10 BS 11.7. It rose to BS 16.5 by the time I ate 15:28.

With some sleep I’ve been giving it a rethink & the first odd bent needle started with the switch to the NovoPen*6 & thought that can’t be a coincidence & thought even more! Then, I remembered how fast the insulin went in the first time I used it as it’s a smooth action without the clicks of the disposable pens that was that bit slower going in: the same clicks when dialling it come; made by the little sticking up bars on the cylinder for each unit? And I thought “Ah hah!” Is that IT: i’ve been trying to slow down the pushing in of NR as I felt the increased pressure this past week; it’s easier to get a straight needle for the smaller doses the last 2 nights with less pressure when I was getting the bent needles on the max 60 doses during the day?

I’m going to try out the hypothesis by seeing if splitting the injections into 2 smaller amounts will keep the needle straight? I’ll see how that goes?
