Group 7-day waking average?

12 for me this morning. Jabbed 12 units of Fiasp and my Levemir and went back to sleep and woke the second time 1hr and 49mins later on 4.4 with a sloping downward arrow so ate a JB to slow the drop and got up and had breakfast straight away which was a treat. Graph shows I didn't hit the red so perfect timing!
Apologies for absence. I lost my old lady, Cora, a week yesterday and it really knocked me for six. Of course I knew she wouldn't last forever but it is so hard to part with them when you have been together 30 years and they are like family. She was still alive when I found her and struggling to get up but couldn't, so I had to make the very difficult decision to end her suffering. Absolutely heartbroken still, but it will get easier with time.
So sorry for you loss.

Oh Barbara I’m so sorry to hear this news. You must be heartbroken. How are the others coping without her?
Thanks Elaine. Thankfully the "children" who are now orphaned of course, are coping better than me. Ungrateful lot!! They have been a bit subdued though. Even Rascal hasn't been his usual ebullient self and has done as he is told first time without me having put my foot down, which is pretty well unheard of! A change of scene yesterday back up to their winter field, where there is enough grass to keep them happy, has cheered them up and there was quite a bit of high jinx at first, despite the lads being old men themselves now. They will have a few weeks there until the clegs make an appearance (hoping they don't hatch early with this hot weather) and then I will bring them back down to the village where they can take shelter in the stables during the day when the flies are tormenting them. The change of routine will help me too and means that I have to incorporate a longer daily walk into my day to see them, but can't deny she has left a big hole in my heart! We had some fun but also quite a bit of frustration as a ridden horse but she absolutely loved being a mother and she was always so content to share that role with me and I got an immense amount of pleasure from that experience with her and handling and raising them.

9 this morning, the raised basal last night not kicked in yet, will see how it goes in the forthcoming days. My daytime BGs are behaving and TiR is climbing up to 77%, battered of late due to illness. I'll soon have it the upper 80s soon - I hope.

Been out in town playing some pool with K & P, sadly losing against both adversaries 😱
It's very warm despite the cool breeze trying to usurp the sunny clime.
Once I got back, my OH went out to enjoy town - booking our holidays for September, no surprises for where we are going yet again.

I'm thinking for eating now as it's been sometime since brekkas.

Enjoy your day wherever you are for, they tell, me the heat won't last 😱

Good afternoon, arrived back in the UK at midnight and got home about 2
Stuck a new sensor on at 5am and went back to bed until the low alarm woke me with a 3.9 around 10.30am.
Today in Southampton is actually warmer than Turkey as the weather there changed yesterday and there was heavy rain.
Hope you all have a great day!

So sorry to heat about Cora. She was part of your life for such a long time. It's never easy to say goodbye.:care:

Good afternoon. Finally catching up with today's posts. A 6.9 for me this morning. Not really surprised as we had loaded potato skins with ham hock and bean casserole for dinner. Very delicious :D
I was entertained yesterday watching our friend who is 30 years younger than hubby struggling to break up a concrete pad with a 25lb sledgehammer. He is strong but didn't have the technique. Hubby cracked it in several spots and made the ground shake.
This morning hubby got news lenses fitted to his specs frames. It's a village optician so only open 2 days a week. Booked another eye test for me as the vision in my left eye is very blurry and worsened in the last month. It's the one with a cataract.
Went to the local garden centre again as I need new wellies. Couldn't find any that fit. Stopped off at the polling station to vote as it's on the diversion route and watched a typhoon pilot showing off doing barrel rolls overhead.
Love the photos @eggyg but surprised you didn't join the grandchildren for a quick paddle.
Too hot to be outside now but need to water everything in the garden this evening. I'm not relying on the rain forecasted for tonight. Knowing our luck it will miss us.
Happy 1st May everyone.

Just munching an egg & mayo sandwich, meant to grab the chicken & stuffing beside but, grabbed the egg instead: not the best thing to eat on my empty stomach; needs must though with my little Freudian slip.

BS shot up to 15:47 BS 12.7 put in a cautious +2, 50 NR & basal is indeed 56 & play it by ear to see if I need further reductions. Virtually no change in cholesterol but, A1c up to 72 & weight today, with clothes on & can’t go in my Birthday Suit, 91.6kgs. See me again in another 3 months time!

I will catch up later but, finish my sandwich first!

Email from DSN yesterday - I can try Humalog in the Omnipod 5. According to the consultant, Apidra (my fav insulin by far) has been “withdrawn” so I can’t have it. But, but, but...my back-up insulin pens and my fridge and my prescription all contain Apidra. Weird.
I'm not saying your consultant is wrong, but I have heard nothing of this and I am sure my DSN and/or the rep from Ypsomed would have told me this morning when I was doing the training for the Ypsopump because they would have wanted me on Novorapid. As it is they have to supply me with reservoirs which they are doing.

I had Humalog before I went on my first pump (when I changed to Apidra) and in my opinion it's slower than Novorapid and for me it had a nasty sting in the tail. I've put some enquiries into place re Apidra availability and am waiting for a reply. I'll let you know as soon as I can.

@rebrascora i'm so sorry to hear about Cora. Big hugs to you and pats to the other horses. She was with you a long time and will have known how loved she was. Take care.

@Martin.A love the Snoopy.

@Bloden and @PattiEvans is the Apidra "withdrawn" for use with pumps or general MDI too? I haven't heard anything.

@rebrascora - just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear of Cora's passing. I know how much you love your children. Keep the good memories of her, your will never forget her.

@Bloden and @PattiEvans is the Apidra "withdrawn" for use with pumps or general MDI too? I haven't heard anything.
I don't think it is - there was a shortage of pens a while back, but as far as I know there was no shortage of vials. I'm waiting for some responses and I'll let you know.

So, it's been a light overcast all day and it's now raining. Set to improve tomorrow but hard to know how much!

6.3 at 7 am but I had 1 slice of toast - 14g - for breakfast at 9:15 and it's been in the 12s ever since. Probably due to anxiety as I had my Ypsopump training this morning. It was 2 blokes (one on his first pump) and me with the rep in charge and our DSN mostly lurking. I managed to be the slowest one all the time, principally due to the fact I kept sticking my finger on the screen of the pump and ending up somewhere I shouldn't have been. It's very sensitive. Also I was the only one who had to fill a reservoir which complicated setting the pump up. Anyway 2 hrs 40 later the 2 chaps left and the rep was arranging to deliver some reservoirs to me and said "Well, of course at your age you are bound to be slower with technology". I was quite taken aback and pointed out I was writing websites and building computers back in 1993. I'm sure that was a non-sequitur, but all the same...

So... we have been told to leave the thing alone and let it learn and do it's thing. So that's what I am doing! One excellent thing that came out of it was that I am allowed to put my own sim in the phone that has been supplied because my own Motorola hasn't been tested so apparently I can't use it. So I can use the supplied phone as my only phone and not have to carry 2 about.

Anyway, I don't want to bore you all further!

Have a good evening all!

Well, of course at your age you are bound to be slower with technology".
Ooh I bet you were livid. You should have replied “at your age I thought you would have had some diversity training!” Think I would have been tempted to lamp him! ( Then blamed my age!) 😛

Actually I was so taken aback I was speechless. Mind you, she was not in the first flush of youth.

@Bloden and @PattiEvans is the Apidra "withdrawn" for use with pumps or general MDI too? I haven't heard ananything.
I don't know. Like I said, I'm still able to get the Apidra pen cartridges (my back-up, in case the pump fails).

Thanks @PattiEvans - I think she's wrong myself. Lots of people use Apidra.

Not everywhere has elections.
thanks for the reminder, your right @grovesy, thinking about it we nearly didn’t have them as
a while ago some of the neighbouring authorities (I think that’s the correct term) in Beds & Bucks
looked into joining together as some kind on new south Midland’s region that would then be a combined unitary authority
but when the North Northants & West Northants areas tried to join them the thing fell apart, round these parts the old Northamptonshire council are famous for kind of the wrong reasons
amongst others think one of its most famous claims to fame was it was the first council for about 20 years to effectively go bust, obviously most recently Birmingham has now got themselves in a similar pickle
then there’s still the missing 10 Million they lent to a previous owner of NTFC regarding a improvement to the football stadium that disappeared (that’s finally recently got to court) it all happens around here … well probably similar in other parts of the country

We’re on it too. Luckily the dry weather we’ve been having hasn’t been conducive to slugs and snails.
Hoping our brassicas and lettuce will be safe this year.
@goodybags watch out for pigeons, they’ll nibble your plants.
thanks for the warning on the pigeons @eggyg, we actually have some nesting in some kind of fir tree (a monstrous carbuncle of a thing) that’s in the corner of a neighbours garden, it backs onto our back fence,
the last few evenings they have been getting a bit frisky and counting on top of the trellis that I fitted to the top of our fence, to raise the fence level and we are trying to grow trailing plants into the trellis to increase privacy, Mrs @goodybags took a small chainsaw to that tree last summer, will see if I can share the pictures of her displaying her skills when she was our tree surgeon last year.
Pic 1 before
Pic 2 after
pic 3 Mrs @goodybags equipped with a £49 Amazon special (it did the job) but not really a proper chainsaw, but it did the job just had to charge it up multiple times as on the big branches it drained the batteries rather quickly.
