Group 7-day waking average?

Bit of a coldified head and hint of a sore throat this morning but considerably better otherwise. Confirmed by my trusty Apple Watch IMG_1943.jpeg
That borderline respiratory rate stat is enough to give just a mere touch of pink to the overall picture for the day which isn’t too bad considering how off kilter everything was the night before:

All that to one side and it’s a Len Special for me this morning.

Skipped theatre last night as didn’t think it wise to go. Today is much more interesting as I’m going to the dump this afternoon! I get to drive a big van and everything!

Hopefully I’ll continue to feel better as the day goes on as tomorrow I’ve tickets to see Macbeth (the Cush Jumbo, David Tennent one), Saturday is ballet day followed by a Met Opera screening of Tosca and then it’s Countdown to Takeoff as I’m flying on Wednesday morning. If I’m at all sniffly then I will wear a mask on the flight. Something like this maybe…

Good morning! A 6.5 for me after an awful night. Woken by the ghost of my leg around 1:00 and pain did not settle till around 3:00. Intermittent sleep thereafter as it kept sneaking back! Looks like it peaked near double that in the early hours! :(

Early doors physiotherapy today. Hope Patient Transport is more on time than last two appointments (one hour for the first and 20 minutes for the second).

Cloudy with frost (-2). Warming sun (+3) forecast for around 2:00.

I’m unsure at the moment exactly what kind of retinopathy I’m suffering from, it’s somewhere in a letter that I can’t find at the moment (remember needing that in a letter to my GP earlier this year) before my GP was happy to prescribe my Mounjaro, despite MJ itself not being a semiglutide which at the time was my HCP’s concern

the implant I had recently was Ozurdex (a dexamethasone steroid)
having in the past been treated with firstly laser in one eye, and then injections of 3 different medications the last one was Vabysmo, and before that Eyelea and the first one they tried me on was Lucentis, in both eyes, luckily one of my eyes responded well to the vabysmo so my eye sight whilst still not “normal” when wearing my varifocals is probably quite good.

was thinking about you Mikey yesterday when I was at eye casualty, when the Dr told me what was going on / what the fix was initially I found it quite upsetting and feeling rather sorry for myself, then I thought why am I upsetting myself this is fixable, other people have major struggles with everything thrown at them, like your transportation and everything your HCP,s put you through

There is not a right emoji as I wanted to express sympathy for you and thank you for thinking of me. When I first read about this issue it stayed in the back of my mind as I had an Ozurdex injection in July and a checkup in October with the next mid-January. Hope they sort it for you @goodybags .

Too much chocolate cake last night .... BG 5.3 ....

Rested all day yesterday and my hip is somewhat better. A way to go yet. I have decided not to play at the church on Sunday to give my hips a rest. It also means that I will not set up the sound system and won't be walking to the church either. I will be absent. Rest means rest, boring as it can be.

So today, another loooong day of rest, yawn. I'm not even going upstairs to play my keyboard!!! Shame really cos I wrote a new song the other day and my wife said she actually likes it! No accounting for taste

Morning all. And it’s 5.2s all round. On the Libre and on my outdoor temperature thingymebob! It’s a tad chilly.

Helping with swimming Thursday today, if it hasn’t been cancelled. And then lunch for two daughters and three grandchildren, Rocco brings his own lunch! Mr Eggy already throwing wood and coal at the fire, it’s been on constantly since Sunday. When you live in a 300 year old listed sandstone house with gaps in the sash windows and the front door ( because you’re not allowed to install UPVC windows and doors) it’s a Godsend. Warms the house up no end.

It’s tough changing old habits for new ones @West Leeds Rick. Be patient, be kind to yourself, and shift your focus onto your healthier habits - I don’t think I could run 5k, so good for you! And it sounds like they were a friendly bunch. There’s a few running groups where I live - you can hear them coming a mile off cos of their non-stop-natter LOL.

plenty of layers on as walking to hospital this morning (can’t rely on taxi or bus as they’re digging roads up round here at the moment)

Off to my AAA screening this afternoon, something new that the NHS are doing. It’s a good idea but for me, something else to worry about!

Good morning. 6.8

Snow and ice everywhere. The first looks lovely, the second is lethal.
I have been too worried and miserable to test recently - waiting for Helen's scan and trying to get some sense out of the vendors of the property I was intending to buy. Getting different messages from sibling who inherited Mum's house and fields and other, who didn't. but farms next door. They are at daggers drawn. Also interfering with attempts to survey and cost the necessary repairs so I have decided to withdraw my offer. In part because I cannot judge how much over £100k the repairs would cost and on the other I do not want to live next door to animosity. So I have been back on the hunt with little success. EEK! Exchange due on 10th December...

However I am feeling much more positive this morning. Helen's scan results are brilliant - no discernibly active cells found. So the chemo has been working although it is still making her feel like the parrot. Looks as if progress towards operation at the end of January is probable. Everything crossed which makes typing a tad difficult...

Hope everyone doing well and taking care on the ice.
 
5.9 on another frosty morning, though not as hard a frost as yesterday. Didn't need the scraper to clear the car, just de-icer and wipers.

Had to go and pick up our youngest from Tesco yesterday evening as his car wouldn't start. Tried the old test of trying to start it with the headlights on and, sure enough, they practically went out, so it's the battery suffering from the cold. No jump leads so had to leave the car there and we'll go back today, via Halfords, and sort it out.

Congrats @eggyg & @Sharron1 on your HSs this morning.

@Eternal422 - AAA screening actually isn't that new. It's been routinely offered for a while now to all men in the year they turn 65. I had mine 11 years ago (an Ultrasound, which showed no issue).

Forecast for here is for max 3 degrees today, a little less cold tomorrow, and back in double figures at the weekend which means, inevitably, that it's going to be a wet one.

I didn’t realise, not having heard anyone having had it done before now. Glad yours was ok, is it just a once off screening if everything is normal on the first ultrasound?

@Eternal422. Funnily enough I've got my scan booked in a couple of weeks.

Collected prescription this morning. We're on short rations of Creon, luckily I've got a couple of tubs in reserve.

I only got one tub this time instead of four, but, like you, I do have some spares as I’ve been rationing them for about six months.
