Group 7-day waking average?

Morning

4.3 today, off for a walk and then coffee with a friend, followed by a bit of crotchet and watching the Grand Prix.

@PattiEvans - hope you start feeling better soon.

@silver minion - hope your tummy settles down

@Pam123 - best wishes to hubby with starting his new treatment next week and despite all the chaos just keep thinking about that lovely new kitchen you will get.

Morning all. 4.8, I ate mindfully yesterday after Friday's indulgences.

After my pronouncement on Thursday we would be child free for two weeks, we received a call from eldest daughter on our way home yesterday, could we have Sadie, 7, for a sleepover Sunday. Dad going to auction with a bull Monday, big sister at a friend's sleepover/birthday party and brother and mum at work. she is no bother so of course we said yes, Mr Eggy will pick her up later. Then youngest daughter got in touch, could we have Eden for a couple of hours today, they are taking Zara to the circus and Eden Knieval will probably want to join in! Of course I said yes, we've got Sadie, she'll entertain her. Oh said youngest daughter, would Sadie like to come to the circus, of course she said yes. whilst arranging this eldest daughter got in touch again, could you pick Poppy up from Hollywood Bowl on Monday at 1pm after friend's party. Of course, I said, is their dad picking them up after the auction, no, as he's got the trailer, maybe Rhys, eldest grandson, can pick them up after work or maybe other grandma. I'll let you know! 🙄 Ah well, those three child free days were good!

Before all this I must do some ironing, never had time last week for some reason! 😛

@everydayupsanddowns Sunday is the start of the week for me.

Have a good day.

6.2

Two show day today starting off with National Ballet of Japan’s Giselle at Covent Garden and then Little Dancer, which is a one off semi-staged performance at Theatre Royal Drury Lane and features Tiler Peck in an exceedingly rare London appearance. I’m looking forward to both.

@Pam123 @Leadinglights When I was 11 the folks built an extension all down the side of the house. Two story, front to back, took months. No kitchen at all for yonks.
After two nights of trying to make dinner for four on a single gas burner camping stove, the highlight of which were chips that were slightly boiled in warm oil rather than fried, the decision was made to live on salads!

Morning all, 5.1 which I am happy about, because yesterday we had a big family dinner for Larry's birthday, we had home made steak and mushroom pie followed by a baked cheesecake.
I had 5 units of trurapi beforehand followed by another 3 a few hours later to deal with the cheesecake, and managed to stay in range
I normally stick to low carb, but it's nice to have the trurapi available to deal with the occasional treat.

@PattiEvans please take all the rest and naps you need and don't push yourself!

A 5.0 for me today. 🙂

Morning 7.7 today

I had a great morning yesterday at the Walking Football/MH Wellness program although there was only 2 participants again, think there about two or three weeks before the programme relocates to a venue where it should attract many more participants, TBH even though hardly any people attend, it’s a great project.

Yesterday I finally ordered new Glasses, having been advised it was now OK to something I’ve been looking forward to since last years cataract surgery.

Some (much needed) tidying at home for me this morning, then Grand Prix and football later, unless Mrs @goodybags has other plans for us today, currently she’s having a lay in.

TC everybody

Not so good 8.2. But hey, that’s life … I’ve decided to try reducing Toujeo as had a low in early morning (again). Looking through the daily record this has been happening 15 days out of the last 30 … all masked by very good time in range figures etc.

What a sporty Sunday. TV + Radio. Test match, Formula One, Football.

Have a good one …

Nick

As none of my three daughters actually do any ironing I can't imagine their offspring even know what an iron or ironing board looks like! 😱
I HATE ironing! I bought minimum ironing work clothes with teflon to repel stains working in the restaurant. Now, I buy dresses with elastane that doesn’t need ironing. The clothes just need a bit of a shake out of the machine & lay them out to dry! As for the bedding, it DOES look creased but, it gets creased anyway & it’s about the FEEL of the high count Egyptian cotton for me rather than the look of it!

I don’t have an ironing board or iron either!

08:50 BS 8.1. Woke briefly for loo trip in the night when 01:17 BS 4.8 so, had a peppermint cream, beside my pillow on the bed I have a 1kg tub of them this last year & about half of it gone, & went back to sleep. BS is a bit higher than I’d like but, I wanted to get back to sleep without worrying about hypos! 🙄

A Very Good Morning to you all & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

I too have a penchant for peppermint creams like the sisters in “The Wind On The Moon” by Eric Linklater. A BRILLIANT children’s book I’ve posted about before. So, I have a tub of “Pillow Mints” literally beside my pillow on the bed! 😱😛:D

Morning all hope you are all well and enjoying life.

Morning all. I'm over the moon with an 8.5 yay it's going down, yesterday 9.3 day before 9.2 day before 10.3 and I'm keeping as much as I can to low carb though there's nothing much for me to eat in this house. Must get organised and buy my own food. I'm surrounded by goodies, good job I don't have a sweet tooth. I'm determined not to go on the Metformin and I'm fed-up of blurry watery eyes plus Specsavers have lost my new specs for the second time running yesterday good grief. Have a good day all. 🙂

@gail2 Don't eat toast it's poison! 😱 If I ate that I'd be in huge double figures. I know everybody is different... <3

@gail2 Don't eat toast it's poison! :O If I ate that I'd be in huge double figures. I know everybody is different...
I love my marmite on toast can't do without it, it's sets me up for the day. Spikes me a little bit but hay ho that's a trade off for having something you love for breakfast. Normally it makes me go up in the 1_-2.5 mark.

I only tried Marmite this year. I love it. You can put anything on celery if you've a mind to it. :D
