Group 7-day waking average?

last thing last night i was 11.0 this morning im 7.6

Morning everyone. 8.3 for me on waking today, after having had to take two separate corrections during the night (1unit NovoRapid) to keep within target. The changeable weather has given me a slight cold I fear. Can’t expect anything else in March I suppose and I’m well used to dealing with it at this stage.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all, 4.7 here. Bought a piece of lamb to roast (just a half shoulder), son and husband's request for their birthday treat, today is the nearest weekend to both. It was eye wateringly expensive. Think I might have to sell the family silver, only problem is, we don’t have any.

Morning all. 6,4. Damp again, though it did turn out nice yesterday.

Clothes post in and cemented, just needs cut down to enable me to reach the washing line. ( Short a**e with bad shoulders). That’s Mr Eggy’s job today.

@Robin we’re having lamb chops tonight. I buy them occasionally in a pack of nine ( I split them into two packs) from our local butcher. I got a shock last week when I picked them up, over £17! The used to range between £9-11! They’d best be good. We’ve no family silver to sell either, we’ve already sold the three youngest grandchildren to pay for our Center Parc Easter break, we either go without lamb or hire the big ones out to sweep chimneys! 😛

Have a super Sunday.

A round 6 for me this morning. 🙂

Oh dear, 15 this morning. Then realised I hadn’t taken my Metformin before the evening meal. The high seems to have hit at around 1am when I was fast asleep.Went to a concert where my brilliant grand-daughter played trumpet (she’s 11) - must have blown me away …

9.3 for me and I went to bed on 9.1 admittedly with some active Fiasp, and had a whopper of a hypo in between. Turns out my alarm did pick it up and apparently I scanned, according to my Libre log (I have no recollection) and got a 4.4 with a vertical downward arrow but didn't do anything about it and just went straight back to sleep. I bottomed out at 3.0 but was there for quite some time with a very straight horizontal like before I woke up. One of the few times I have actually eaten 3JBs to treat a hypo and then Dawn did the rest to bring me back up into the 9s. I am starting to think that I might need to reconsider taking Amitriptyline for my mental health as I am sure I was simply too groggy to respond to that low alarm and 4.4 with a vertical downward arrow is not to be ignored by anyone with even half their wits about them!

Morning

4.9 this morning, with an aching back from all the house clearing yesterday, however with 4 of us we got loads done, my granddaughters also helped by bringing us black sacks, boxes etc when we asked, dusting after my daughter vacuumed. Oldest one also helped carry black sacks down the stairs. More of the same today, daughter and family might come round again for a few hours.

3.9 and waking to the Libre alarm. Oh well, more preferable than a high reading I guess. Porridge now doing its thing and BG back into a more respectable range.

@silver minion and @PattiEvans - thank you for your comments about care for my parents. We had a sort of discussion and as expected they back tracked on going to a care home. Unfortunately they also didn’t want to extend the time and frequencies of the existing visiting carers either. We also have a situation where the stairlift company no longer offer out of hours cover! That’s a phone call I will make tomorrow to get something sorted out! We suggested some changes to help but fear we now need to force moving to a care home for them. The lovely neighbours who have been to help them up after the last 3 falls (all whilst we were away last week) spoke to us and said they were really concerned about their safety.

Off to see my wife’s sister for a walk and lunch today, despite it looking really grey and damp here.

Take care everyone.

Morning folks. Nice and sunny in Lincolnshire so far. Dodgy tummy though and feeling a bit under the weather. BG was 9.2.
Yesterday was a good day. Hubby got a tax rebate and the wine/beer making kit we collected was in good condition. Put some of it to good use last night. We bottled 3 demijohns of cider. Had a quick sip. It actually tastes like proper cider  Still needs conditioning in the bottle (a bit of sugar added for creating a little fizz and develop the flavour). Looking promising to drink later this year. 23 bottles altogether.
Today we will bottle the damson wine if it's OK. Then some more gardening if it stays mostly dry.
Take care everyone and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

5.7 again on a bright but dry (and sunless) morning. Sky's the colour of milk. No thunderstorms here yesterday despite the forecast, but there were plenty elsewhere according to the BBC.

Our two boys got home from Cardiff just after 1am. Long day but worth it to see Wales run out 3-1 winners. The M4 closure didn't cause much of a delay, and no delay at all coming back. That's 7 games in a row unbeaten. Shame the rugby team can't do the same.

Wife's just left for a day out browsing antique shops with a friend and won't be back until tea time. Our youngest was up early for his 8 till 5 shift at Tesco but I don't expect to see his brother for a while yet. His futsal team have an away fixture in London today but the KO isn't until 5:15, so he'll be happy to get some rest after driving to Cardiff and back yesterday.

@Robin & @eggyg we've also noticed how expensive lamb's become so we only have it occasionally and always buy a half-leg and cook it in our slow cooker. When I was younger roast lamb was a Sunday regular.

Enjoy your Sunday.

morning a Len today, was expecting higher - FOTFS shot me me up unto double figures (just)
although after coming back to bed with a cuppa tea settled back to mid 8’s (currently @8.5)
I did wonder what my levels would be today following cheeseburger & chips from a local takeaway late yesterday evening, shan’t be eating it regularly but it was delicious

Ive reduced my Insulin dose over the last 3 days this (GP has been encouraging this over the last 6 months)
however when I tried before was spiking and not coming back in range before my next meal, so will see how the reduction goes this time

@Grannylorraine it’s good to see you had some help yesterday clearing out your FIL’s house, especially as sounds like you need to take care of your back, it sounds like a massive task, hopefully you can soon see the light at the end of the tunnel

TC everyone
😎

Morning all - another dull day.

5.2 this morning much to my surprise. We have a guest for lunch. So I had better get on.

Re Lamb. It's frighteningly expensive. I looked at a half leg for today's lunch, but got 4 sirloin steaks for less money.

Have a good Sunday all.

Morning all. 7.6. We're off to see my sister in law in a bit then going to the cinema go watch The Alto Knights with Robert De Niro. Well, not WITH Robert De Niro, but you know what i mean.

@Eternal422 could you get a safeguarding team from social services involved? It may be the decision is taken out of yours and your parents hands and there will be no recriminations on either side. They may note the neighbours concerns as well. I'm not sure though but if your parents still say no, they may not be able to do anything. It might be worth a try.

@PattiEvans congrats on the HS.

All the talk of lamb today has my mouth watering. I love lamb but rarely buy it now.

Have a good day everyone.

Congrats on your HS @PattiEvans
We bought a half lamb jointed and vacuum packed from a smallholder up in the Lincolnshire wolds last autumn. Worked out about £8 per kg overall but did include cheaper cuts like neck and breast and a kg of minced lamb. We kept the whole leg joint for Easter. Looking forward to it soon.
