So I was diagnosed on 23 /12 /2025 with a severe case of what my doctors called of extreme poorly managed diabetes at 109!
Also high cholesterol!
The doctors prescribed metformin and statins.
I declined and decided on a healthy diet and exercise.
I ditched all carbs for 1 month and slowly introduced small amounts of carbs - eating the carbs after my protein.
Ditched white rice for wild .
Ditched white bread for rye and whole grain and multi seed sour dough.
Stopped eating Bananas apples satsumas- switched to berries and dates when I needed a sugar kick.
I joined the gym and did 45 minutes rowing or cross trainer every day and at weekends I walked 5 miles each day and cycled over a week for 1.5 hours.
I purchased a libre 2 and downloaded the app whilst I explored my diet and watched the foods that affected my sugars ..over 2 months.
I took off the libre2 after 2 months as I was confident in following my diet for a month.
My doctors run my bloods and my result la came back on Thursday = down to 42 ! In 3 months
I am very happy
