I had my first three monthly HbA1c blood test on 23rd Dec, and have been anxiously awaiting the results ever since.
The blood test was initially scheduled for mid December, but I postponed and rescheduled it to late December, as I wanted it to coincide with my ending the 12 week T2D pathway diet, and hopefully show a lowering of my BG levels.
So.... finally got the results online this morning.
[Drum Roll......]
My HbA1c level as of today is..... 38. I am so, so pleased that I am barely able to contain myself!
My last HbA1c from several months ago was 54 I think, and has come down from its highest at initial diagnosis of 108, so the T2D diet and resulting weight loss have made a real and significant difference.
The blood test was a full on test, and all other levels (kidney function, creatine levels, B12, Triglyc, etc) are all normal.
The only slightly high reading was Cholesterol, but it is only very slightly over, and has come down from where it was.
Just wanted to share, thank you all for the support and info on this site.
The journey is not over yet, this is just the start. And I will continue to update on here and be part of this marvellous community.
Cheers
