I tested my blood sugar last night, after having my tea of a smallish baked potato, with a bit of Kipper, the result was 7 after about two hours. OK thinks I, not as good as I hoped, but I will still indulge, have a little sweetness, so had an Asda, Free from chocolate bar. ( No dairy;eggs; animal products, etc.) It contains in its 35 g of lovliness, 20.3g of carbs/ 12.6g of sugar, so I know it is a risk of a spike, but an hour later I test and it is now 6.1! 😱 About another hour later it is down to 5.3! 😱
What is going on, this is the second time I have had this happen! I am now doubting my own sanity. ( Never mind, another dent in my confidence over the Codefree meter! )
Worst thing is, I am going to have a chippy meal tonight, ( yum, yum! ) the first since July and I intend to test, to see just how high my blood sugar will go, over several hours. I am now left wondering, if there is going to be any point to that testing though.
