Food ideas with photos

Seeing the physiotherapist today after a GP referral. It will be interesting to see what additional exercises she gives me now 53 years of osteopathic treatment are no longer effective. I'm not optimistic but I'll give it a go.

Saw the physiotherapist today and told my arthritis is severe. I was given a few additional exercise suggestions, and referred for a hip replacement, much to my surprise. But first - the weight must come off!!

I thught I was being referred to an orthopaedic surgeon. Turns out I was being referred to the Devon Referral Service (DRS) who could veto the referral based on additional factors. This happened to me before when I was refused a bone density scan despite a family history of osteoporosis and apparent height loss. They must state their reasons and present options, like monitoring.

Just fancied home made soup so chucked whatever needed using up in the fridge into the slow cooker and gave it a whizz at the end........peppers leeks cauli mushrooms plus a tin of chunky heinz veg soup i found in the cupboard that needed using......added some spice to it and hey presto........veg and chilli soup.....got a decent kick to it 😳20250808_184129.jpg

Really tasty and enough for next 2 days too

Weighed in this morning. Since 20 July I've now lost 1.4kg - about a pound a week. Not a lot but at least I'm finally moving in the right direction.

Have just eaten an odd breakfast ( no photo) I'm on iron tablets so am making sure I keep iron content up abit. Yesterday evening had cod, tomatoes and chicken peas with salsa ( m and s) Today just had seatrout samphire, watercress and a grilled artichoke ( M and S had offer on 3 deli products) Should have been my supper but going over to sister and will eat there then have aquafit at 6. Will have yoghurt nuts and blueberries tonight.
 
Food delivery yesterday was over 6 hours late - computer routing issues, so missed aquafit. Because I did not cancel at least 3 hours before, I got fined. How was I supposed to notify them so far in advance, as I didn't know until they failed to turn up on time, and I had to phone? Bureaucracy gone mad - no common sense shown.
