I started Ozepam last week my first dose. Also trying to stick to a low carbo high protein diet.
having issues with side effects with my medication terrible indigestion, constipation abdominal pain.
the low carbo diet asks for a lot of eggs and cream and that in my diet is making me feel
nauseous therefore hardly eating. therefore at times feel weak and shaky legs Don’t know if that is due to diet or medication
my GP has refused to prescribe a blood glucose monitor so I don’t know what is happening. At the moment really reluctant to continue with Ozempan injections
any advise what would you eat for breakfast I miss my hot porridg. how much carbohydrates should I be having?

Why eat eggs and cream if they are making you feel sick?
Have you had the conversation with your Doctor about your concerns re continuing with this medication.

No wonder I was feeling rough I was down to 30 gram a day.
looking on internet for low carb diet and it states to eat full fat as you get hungry
is it worth purchasing a blood glucose monitor?
my practice do not have a diabetes nurse and therefore not much info given

30g carbs a day is doable as many people on strict Keto will attest to, but not necessary. I do between 40 and 70g carbs a day and that seems to suit me, but a testing strategy as mentioned by @Anitram is key to finding out what level your body can tolerate.
The Ozepam injection you mention... could that be Ozempic? it is known for causing nausea. I believe it is used to help with weight loss as well as diabetes control. We have a member who is currently documenting her use of this injectable drug on a thread on the forum.... this is it...

which you might find helpful to follow or contribute to.

I personally can't tolerate another of date, some rather eat extra fat just eat but normal amount of fat .

If you are considering getting a BG meter, the 2 models most frequently recommended here on the forum as the most reliable and economical for those self funding are the SD Gluco Navii or the
DSpirit Healthcare Tee2 Both are available on line to purchase but be aware they only come with 10 test strips and lancets and you will need to purchase extra of these... we would recommend a box of lancets and 2 extra pots of test strips to get you started. The meters kit is about £15 and the extra pots of strips are £8 each... Not sure how much a box of lancets is but it is usually the cheapest item to purchase. Hope that gives you some idea of financial implication to help you decide.
