Recently I am noticing that I am getting the rise that others have as soon as they get up. I know the solution is to give a shot of insulin. I am getting in a muddle with dealing with this.
If I test I am just beginnning to rise so the reading won’t trigger a sufficient correction yet but I know that my BG is on its way up as shown on the Libre (this always readers higher in the morning probably due to needing fluids)
If I deliver insulin without a test and no carbs it will not include this for the insulin on board when I get to doing breakfast delivery.
I don’t want to wait until I have risen as I am doing the bolus to head off that morning spike.
What do others do who are using bolus calculators on handsets and/or pumps.
