Thought we were tickinh along ok and managing the highs and lows of life with a diabetes child. Just got back from Consultant appointment and her HB1AC has gone up to 8.1 (was 7.6 last time).
Feel that I must have done something wrong this time.
We are adjusting her insulin up and tweaking her carbs. I know its stupid but every time we have to increase her dose it makes me feel worse.
Also she is becoming more and more anxious regarding her levels, which I mentioned at the appointment today (but not in front of her), so the consultant is referring so that she can have someone to talk to about this. I think this anxiety is due to the move to the Junior school in September and she is worried that all the new teachers etc won't know what to do.
Just a bad day
