Feeling down

Sorry to hear your diabetes has been giving you a hard time @Woodywoodpecker

There are times when we can feel that it’s the change of routine that may be contributing to BG chaos - but other times we stick to rigid routine, and we can get chaos then too!

Change is the only constant with diabetes… and sometimes we just have to shrug, and get on with spinning the plates and making our best guesses.

It can be so draining though can’t it. The one thing my diabetes will not do when it’s having a strop, is fade into the background. It makes me super grateful for the times when it decides to actually stick to its own rules.

Hope things start to settle for you really soon, and you can get your diabetes back into its box again.

Thank you, not been too bad overnight. Expecting high this afternoon got dentist, I absolutely hate going to dentist, years ago at school dentist was only told one tooth out. They took me back in to pull another, I wasn’t happy told him I had my tooth out. Dentist and his assistant held me down in the chair kicking and crying, I’ve never forgotten it was only 6. My dentist is luvly but the fear has never gone away

Dentist done till end off the month, don’t know why am frightened my poor heart was pounding. Glucose bit high but think that was my anxiety, when left Libre decided not to work, back on when got home
BG always rises when I go to the dentist. Totally understand. If (when) I get there early I go and wait in the car until just before the appointment as I don’t want to hear the noise of the drill!! And then our tech knows when to choose not to work. Grrrrr.
I hope that things now settle and you feel a whole lot better.

Was first after lunch so no one in, don’t know why I get so worked up, my dentist is luvly. It’s the drill I don’t like, they used to use 2 was the second one I didn’t like, but she only used one and was not bad. Feeling bit more upbeat today, and finally the good weather is hitting Scotland
