Ever get that fed up feeling with eveything to do with your diabetes? 
I've got that right now!
I'm struggling to get good control of late due to all the stress around me. I am in process of buying a flat and it's not been going smoothly but hopefully moving next weekend!
But biggest thing that tipped me was my eyes! I had my first laser in my right eye back in January 2012 then at my 6 weeks check up post that got told I need a second laser treatment in that eye plus now a treatment in my left eye..I was ok with this as caught early. But by end April I still hadn't received an appointment so I phoned..they had changed systems and had lost all the waiting lists for appointments!!! (2nd time NHS has forgotton me this year lol) So a date was set..1 hour before my appointment I get a phone call to say doc is sick so cancelled..fair enough you think so I booked a 2nd date.
..SURPRISE the doc was sick AGAIN! so cancelled and rebooked for tuesday just gone. I go to it as I would normally but as he was checking my eyes beforehand he said I have a small bleed in my left eye and I should of had treatment sooner rather than now, well when I kind of got edgy at this (as would anyone) and explained I would of 3months ago if the doctor hadn't gone sick twice and kept rescheduling. The doctor then said it was him..so basically he was telling me I should of had the treatment earlier but is taking no fault for it not being done earlier due to his sickness...I am so angry about this!
He went ahead with the treatment in both eyes but couldn't do it all as wouldn't be possible so I have to have a further 2 treatments 3 weeks apart. My work are quite flexible but all of this could of been prevented
When I have spoken and updated my family and friends they were horrified I was not told to NOT do a thing as changing pressures in my eyes from feeding the cat or carrying out the bins could accelerate the bleed and cause blindness until it can be sorted..I am so so scared about this but surely the doctor should of given me some warnings as to what to not do until it's sorted.
