Hello friends. I'm hoping everyone is enjoying the holidays. I have a question. Well, two.

Yesterday I wore a new sensor which gave me an error message to say that it was loose. It was/is not loose but is oddly painful. I tried scanning it about 4 times and each time it ran the one hour and after, brought me this error message. I put it in the spot I usually put them so I don't understand why it didn't work. Does anyone know if I am eligible for a replacement?

Also, the last time I requested and was granted a replacement the delivery person did not make it to my door and claimed in their delivery update that I wasn't home. They didn't even ring the bell. I was waiting. They then said that they'd left it at the post office. When I went there, they said there was no delivery for me. So it was all a it shady and my friend suggested that it might have been stolen. I simply let that go. I'm concerned though that even if.i get a sensor replaced, the delivery may not make it. Has anyone had an issue with suspecting theft of a sensor?

Hi, I had exactly the same error with a new sensor yesterday and reported the issue to Abbot via the website, I had replies back the same day stating the sensor would be replaced with no charge. I get the odd failure and the service from Abbot is very good. Deliveries have always been successful with no thefts, good luck with your request and delivery!

This is odd. Guess what. I just put on another sensor and the exact same error. I'm so disappointed because I only had those two.

Hi, this probably has nothing to do with your problem but do you swap arms and move the sensor slightly each time in case an area of flesh becomes 'unfriendly' to the sensor?

I always change arms and rotate sites on each arm.

So I've also considered that these sensors are libre freestyle 2 and yet I read that it had been phased out for libre freestyle 2 PLUS and so I wondered if that's why both failed in the exact same way.

I'm going to apply for replacements for both

I’m still using Libre 2, and they’re fine for me. My prescription has just been updated so my next ones will be Libre 2+, but the rollout is happening gradually.

I have been using Libre 2 +, for months with no problems. My orders from Abbott, are always delivered by Royal Mail parcel service.

Hi @Mbabazi definitely report any faulty sensor to Abbott, also if you had one that their courier had “claimed” had been delivered (that wasn’t) I would also report that, I’ve had a few replaced they have always delivered by ParcelForce

I am still on Libre 2 and working fine, so no, that is definitely not the issue.

When you apply the sensor and then remove the applicator, has the sensor snagged on the applicator and dislodged slightly as you lift it away? That could cause the filament to kink when you pat the sensor down again after removing the applicator. I always find it best to hold the applicator against my arm for 60 seconds after application before I lift it away to give the adhesive a little time to bond with my skin and if it snags as I remove it, I gently swivel it rather than lifting it straight up as the adhesive will resist twisting more than lifting.
