I am getting so fed up of eating the same things all the time :( had parmesan chicken breast fillet on Monday had chicken breast fillet again tonight, pork loin steaks last night and now again tomorrow night it's getting so frustrating but one person doesn't like this, the other person doesn't like that honestly at the point where I could cry just because of this how stupid is that x

Do you have to eat the same as them Kaylz? Surely your grandad or whoever could have the meat and veg whilst you make something different?

There's not a lot of room to make different things, my granddad isn't so bad, it's mostly my mum, she doesn't like fish, she doesn't like the better sausages, she doesn't like some veggies, tomorrow will be the 3rd time I've had petits pois and I'm getting thoroughly sick fed up of them lol, I try to say I will have something different like prawns or something (I love prawns but nobody else does so I never get them) and I just get there's no point in you having one thing and everybody else having something different, I only get to have fish on a Saturday or sunday when its just me and the other half eating at tea time, or tuna when I'm having a sandwich for lunch, she just doesn't seem to get it, she wants curry or something, I'm not sure on the whole rice thing yet so don't want to give it a go I told her they could have it but no :( x

I understand Kaylz because I cook for others too every evening but it is possible to make yourself something different (including a small portion of different veg in the microwave). Take a small portion of prawns out of the freezer for yourself for instance. Have a salmon fillet. I've had different veg to my son tonight. Honest, it is possible. Is it just a running out of ideas thing as to what to have that's different?

Yeah it is that I'm running out of ideas too, there's not a lot of options to get things local so it all has to be planned out the night before etc x

I know what its like to run out of ideas & get bored of things. Although I manage to vary my diet well, I still get bored of it. That's why I had fish & chips last night & didn't care about my BG.:D

Hmmm bad thing to ask, I'd go out to work without anything, get to lunch go buy a filled roll or something and waste most of it, come home have tea which was whatever - lasagne, curry anything really, then I'd sit at 10pm stuffing my face with crisps etc, I feel much better for eating 3 meals a day at regular times but really struggling with inspiration, nearly didn't get tea tonight as cooker is on it's way out :( x

I eat much better and regularly too now, I was also a crisp monster lol!!
Sounds like you're bored with eating the same things, I don't blame you, variety is the spice of life and all that! My cooker packed up just after I got home from hospital after diagnosis, I went to a local electrical store and got one which was on sale, still had to pay extra for delivery, installation and removal of knackered cooker, was an expensive month. If you've got a microwave you can cook veg in there if you want different. Can you prepare your own meal in the day when kitchen is free and bung it in the oven with the meal your mum is making?

Hey Kaylz now I don't know if this will help you at all - but here goes! I'll probably get my knickers in a twist explaining this to you but please bear with me! Yes?
On one day of each week I have a mammoth cooking session - like beef or chicken casseroles or stews. Cook in one dish/stockpot - shove it in the oven for a couple of hours - when it's cooked I divide the lot into individual foil dishes. When cooled, pop 'em in the freezer.

At the same time - (I'm a juggler!) I cook minced beef in stock pot, add carrots & onions & choice seasoning & anything else I fancy - shove that in the oven next to the beef &/or chicken casserole/stew.

Again when that is cooked, it gets divided into individual foil dishes & left to cool. Add to that a topping of ie. mashed cauliflower butter & cheese, garlic 🙂 then put into the freezer.

Now I know you like pork loin chops...well so do i. So I will oven roast the chops in a little rapeseed oil & onions. I'll make gravy to pour over the chops when they are cooked - put into individual foil dishes & they too go in the freezer.

So several meals now cooked & frozen for the week .🙂... ready for you only to take them out of the flippin freezer again the night before!!!!!!!! :DI'm laughing while I write this - it's even confusing me now 🙄
All I have to do then is prepare fresh veggies on the dayo_O
So... do you see where I am coming from Kaylz?
Just thought as there seems to be a problem at every meal time you will at least have a meal of your choosing in the freezer. The rest of your family can have what they want - but I'm more concerned for you & your needs. xx

Although a great idea WL I would have been doing that if I could trouble is we only have a fridge/freezer and the freezer only has 2 small drawers so it's not possible xx
