We went to eat at a Mongolian restaurant on Sunday. If you haven't been to one, you select your (raw) veg and meat on a plate, hand it to the 'chef' who stir fries it all in front of you.
I had 3 bowls of red and green peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, tomato, green beans, pineapple with chicken, pork and beef in the separate bowls. I had them cooked in sesame oil or herb oil, sweet and sour sauce, red wine sauce, and added cashew nuts, coconut and raisins.
They put a bowl of white rice on the table, but I started to put in a small spoonful before I thought better of it and left it out.
Later, when we got home, I tested my bg expecting it to be in double figures but to my amazement it was 6.7 😱 Even better, my morning reading was 6.3 - my lowest yet.
I wonder what it would have been if I had eaten the white rice !
