got me wheeled into the room, canular in arm no problem, unlike some months ago where the`doc` had five , as in 5, goes to get one that worked when it was in

semi reclined, propped up on left side and held on the `lean` by pillows, the technician got to work
seemed to be having a bit of bother getting the view she and the doctor wanted
they changed my position a couple of times, no better, so doctor had a go, then back to technician
The scanner was ok on the chest, quite a bit of pressure was being applied by this stage, or it felt like it
on the ribs under the arm it began to feel like they were stuffing me with the end of a broom handle
Give up, "I will get Dr ??????....who assumed control. I got the distinct impression she was the BOSS....nice new suntan....
She also `faffed about for a good 10 minutes, I was checking the watch by now,
As with the other 2 she was rabbitting on about the contrast and other lines along "that's ok, Ive seen worse than this"
not exactly what I wanted to hear, but par for the course for me!!!!!
By this time the rib(s) were getting bloody painful but the good news was the`go faster` stuff was going in
soon felt the effect, heart thudding a bit, then pulsations up the neck and into the head....nothing you don't get after heavy/hard exercise
she kept asking me to exhale fully and hold it, no doubt to see the hearts reaction to being starved oxygen
soon told that's it, test over and you will be back to normal HR in a couple of minutes....correct,
wheres me cup of tea and biccies, why do these bu**ers have a humour transplant
meanwhile, the 2 ronnies, sorry, docs, were still in deep conversation over the pics on the screen ie, we should be able to do this...well that ones ok if we can just get the "contrast" changed....
I did ask a couple of times during the early `struggles` what is next if this is another failed test
don't speak at the moment....does that mean SHUT UP.....er, well yes
good job I can take a hint...for 30seconds
anyway, back to recovery unit, coffee and bisskwitz..bourbons...mmmmmm
from going in to coming out of test room took the hour scheduled
as soon as the go faster juice was stopped I was back to normal within a minute, always had fast recover times, years of cycling helped no doubt
kept pestering staff, can I go now, and let go/signed off after about 1/2 and a walk down the corridor and back
wife and self got the bus into town, market day, gave up as usual as having to stop sit down every few minutes and got bus home
all afternoon and evening until early bed at 11 I felt shattered/not so good
don't know if it was result of test or not as it is not uncommon. part of the reason for the test I suppose
Today, all ok generally, bit of a sore central chest, but that's not unusual
and there we have it, a doddle really
only uncomfortable bit was the broom handle effect of the scanner as it was moved over a rib
right, now for the toenail cutter at the `elf centre in an hours time, what can possibly go wrong????????????????????????????????????????????
