Dog owners will understand

Many years ago our first Springer got a grass seed between toes (claws) which worked its way in before it was noticed and that had to be operated on to get it out. Seems to be the time to insist. Just my 2p. Hope she gets better soon, nothing worse than seeing the poor things hurting.

Bramble is going back to vets Monday, cyst keeps healing then flaring up again. She’s getting a swab done Monday see why antibiotics not clearing it up, to continue bathing and to give her paracetamol twice a day. She’s feeling very sorry for herself today, so plenty treats and cuddles
My dog gets those cysts sometimes, they take about a week to go down. I soak the foot in diluted hibiscrub.

Been to the vets she’s had a swab it’s bacterial, 2 weeks antibiotics more cream, swab getting sent away to make sure she’s got the right cream. She got the cone of shame, I’ve had to take it off just now as she’s got herself in such a state. I’m on watch for any paw licking, I’m crying now with the bill

When Amber first had to have a cone on she got very upset, so we kept taking it off which did no good at all.

Now she has go so used to it, she comes to have it put on, it just takes time.
She uses it as a battering ram, jeez does it hurt your legs

Hope she's better soon and you recover from the vets bill

Will try her again for few hours, she’s fast asleep on my lap just now so no licking of the paw

A tip a vet gave me was to put something sticky round her mouth and she will spend time trying to lick it off and will forget about the collar. Other distraction technique like going for a walk.
That's good advice @Leadinglights and may well work, we just had to let Amber wear herself out, we couldn't even take it off at meal times and had to feed her by hand, because as soon as we took it off she would be at her paw
