If you are stuck with Asda, you could try Burgen bread. It's just 12g carb per slice & is only £1 a loaf in Asda.
Wow, that's not bad.🙂to be honest I have been getting kingsmill wholemeal no crusts and that is only 7.4g carb per slice it is only a small loaf but it does the job

I don't understand how it can lower the fat?You may be interested to know that by toasting the bread it lowers the glycaemic index and reduces the fat content. Freezing is also said to help in lower the impact.
It burns it away 🙂 well, not by much, and if you put butter on it afterward, then no benefit in that area. Main benefit is lowering the impact on your blood.I don't understand how it can lower the fat?

I always thought the caramelisation of the brown bits would increase the GI!
