I haven't worn a bracelet since the ID bracelet I had in the 1970s, with my name on the front and my girlfriend's on the inside (she bought it for me 😉) - remember those? 🙂
I do have a card in my wallet, although I don't always have my wallet with me. I'm a bad diabetic! 😱
I had one of those too - a silver one! Memories 🙂I haven't worn a bracelet since the ID bracelet I had in the 1970s, with my name on the front and my girlfriend's on the inside (she bought it for me 😉) - remember those? 🙂

Thanks for this I'm going to take a lookI got mine from www.diabetes.co.uk it's a bracelet with an I.D. number on it, they send you the bracelet, then you register it and add all your med details, illnesses and emergency contacts etc. It was £9.99 for 12 months, but the service is 24/7 and is accessible by telephone number on the bracelet. It seemed to have good reviews.
Just want to point out that diabetes.co.uk are not related in any way to the charity Diabetes UK. Have to point this out as I often receive emails from people confusing the two, which I feel is particularly unfair if the email is a complaint! (I'm not suggesting there is anything wrong with the service they offer, I wouldn't know).I got mine from diabetes.co.uk it's a bracelet with an I.D. number on it, they send you the bracelet, then you register it and add all your med details, illnesses and emergency contacts etc. It was £9.99 for 12 months, but the service is 24/7 and is accessible by telephone number on the bracelet. How very sweet 😛
I remember someone once saying that the paramedics etc. aren't allowed to use the USBs as they could contain viruses (of the computer kind!) that might infect NHS systemsI have a bracelet which I got from the States which has a tiny usb and card with everything on it and I keep a card written in English (rather than in medicalese) in my wallet. So if I keel over in Waitrose (other supermarkets are available) they can read the card and if I have experts they can understand the jargon and there's everything they could possibly want to know about me... apart from my shoe size!😱
I groaned. I've just emitted another! 😱 😉I am highly disappointed. I really thought you would bite at this?????????????
I think it is true, but in extremis I'm sure the IT dept would have a pc they could use! As you can imagine all my information forms a small book😱I remember someone once saying that the paramedics etc. aren't allowed to use the USBs as they could contain viruses (of the computer kind!) that might infect NHS systemsNot sure if it is an urban myth though.
