If only for my own benefit and somewhere to record key bits of training data thought I would start a little training log.
Main event this year so far is the Yorkshire Marathon so that's what I'm mainly focusing on. I desperately want a sub 4hr marathon - my first ever attempt was Sept 24 and the Loch Ness Marathon and was just a little out at 4.17. Training was interrupted by a stupid (as in it was all my own fault) Achilles injury a couple of months before so my final weeks of training were badly hampered.
I absolutely loved it though and whilst it was physically and mentally tough - proper long distance running has been much bitten. So the target for York is sub 4.
If I can get an ultra in this year too that would be super. I run in sandals - trails, roads, summer, winter - sandals. Love them and nothing gets the blood flowing to the feet better than a sub zero run in basically what amount to not much more than flip flops 🙂
