Ah I see, I am 5 foot 5. I always thought I was 5' 6", then when I joined my surgery last year they measured me and I am an inch shorter than I thought I was....gutted!!!! Lol :D I do have a 'thing' for pretty sandals though. I have 1 pair of shoes, 1 pair of boots and loads of sandals. I hate wearing anything on my feet so as soon as the weather starts getting milder on go the sandals and they stay put as long as possible. I made it to October last year. My handbag was from a shop called Domo. It was from the It Luggage collection called a nappa bag. Lots of pockets and sections in it. I don't carry much in a handbag but I do like it orderly!!! Main thing is it fits my diary, Kindle and purse. I have a nice pink Prada handbag that I've never used. It's a kind of bag you could only really take to a wedding or special occasion. Oh what I'd give for a McFlurry!!!

If you shop in primark they have done sandals like Alexander McQueen, black leather with a gold skull head on for I think ?8, very nice!

Hmmmm, I shall have to have a look at them. When Primark is empty or on a quiet day. I dislike the disorganised layout of the stores and they get very very busy, that causes me to have terrible panic attacks if I can't find what I want in a far too busy and hot and stuffy store. Usually if my daughter and I go to Primark she either leaves outside or near a door. I was out shopping last Sunday on my own and remembered she wanted fluffy socks. I was passing Primark and saw it was quite empty. I went in and probably stood at the door for a good five minutes checking out the layout and where in the shop I would go. The security guard must have thought I was casing the joint!! :D anyway I went in and got the socks and had a quiet wander around and even got a few wee bits n pieces for myself. I went home and gave my daughter the socks, she was so shocked that I had ventured into Primark on my own!! I was visiting my mum on Easter Monday and there was a huge Brantano store. I looked in through the door and there were hundreds of handbags. Just as I got the oooooh out of my mouth my daughter just looked at me and said you don't need a handbag fro every shop we visit!!! Between you and I Laura....why not???? :D

If I go into primark it's at 8am on my way to work.

You should be allowed handbags, get your daughter told!

Lol...defo yes I will get her told. I don't get time for shopping on the way to work. Now and again I stop off at Poundland as it sits right where I need to change buses on the way into Glasgow City Centre. That's about as good as it gets!!!!

Hope you have a good sleep Laura. I'm going to bed now, I've got a doctors appointment to see about the nosebleeds and more importantly the sore hand. Been in so much pain today with it. Have a good day x :D

Mmmmm desert, I fancied a creme egg mcflurry the other day but didn't know if they put carbs & cals etc on mcflurry's so gave it a miss

Laura, if you eat in at McD's the paper they put on the tray has all the 'nutritional' info on the back. I usually don't look because if I'm in there at all it's because I don't care at that particular moment and don't want to be reminded... but might be handy for you to calculate the number of litres (!) you'd need to bolus for a McFlurry.

I am 99% sure you can find all the nutritional McD information online. I know we did in the early days. I remember my son liking vanilla milkshakes, and it was something like 90 or 100g carbs - 9 or 10 units for one milkshake (or was that the entire meal - I can't remember now!) but remember being horrified! If you just downloaded it the once and made a note somewhere of your favoured bits and pieces, it might be useful to keep a small note in one of those handbags :D

On a different note, hope you get on ok at work today. Won't seem to bad when you get there (hopefully not anyway)!

There you go, McDonalds nutrition calculator. Creme egg McFlurry 63g carbs! Medium Vanilla Milkshake 70g carbs, large 89g carbs! You have to 'empty' the calculator after each item unless you are calculating an entire meal or you will get some shocking results.

😱 I won't say what I said when I read it!
That's 12 units of insulin, sod that I want cake!

Thanks for this & the work comment, I was still awake at 2am & have been up in the night so I really don't want to go to work :(

Oh Laura, poor you. I hope you get a better sleep tonight. My GP thinks I have an infection in the lining of my nose...yuck! That's what is causing the nosebleeds. If I doesnt settle in a few weeks he will do an ENT referral. The pain in my hand and wrist is RSI. I had to order a splint from the chemist as my GP recommended. I've also to get my work to arrange for a wrist rest. Oh well cest la vie!!
