'Competition for' as in, another company is going into competition against the Libre to produce a similar product.Your title for this post is for a Freestyle Libre ? & it is for a different product is it not ?
I must learn to type faster! The title states that there is now a new competitor for the Freestyle Libre.
We must be daft LucyWhen I clicked on the thread I thought it was for a competition to win (say a years supply) of the Libre too 🙄
It is not even on the market yet.We must be daft LucyI thought exactly the same but that is how it reads. I was one of the first in the country to have a Libre & have never heard of the SugarBeat. The title of the post should have read "New SugarBeat" something ? 😉
Yes, the contact lens idea has been around for a few years now - here's what happened:SugarBeat looks interesting, and might be better for my allergies than a Libre/CGM, if the adhesive is gentler.
My optician told me the other day that they're developing contact lenses which can tell you your blood sugar levels, so that will be a bit of competition too, at least for those people who are able to wear contact lenses (not me! - I'm far too squeamish!).
Most probably the price of the more expensive strips. When they say that the cost is comparable to strips, I wonder if they are comparing it with testing every 5 minutes! That would make it pretty pricey.
Jodie Foster's daughter in The Panic Room had 'the watch' - I got very excited, but then realized it was fiction...boo hoo.🙄Just thinking .. some of us remember there was going to be a watch that detected your BG and I think that was sposed to work much the same as portrayed in the SugarBeat advert .. well the watch never materialised. Be interesting to see if this thing does and whether it works!
As I recall, she also needed insulin to treat a hypo 😱 😱 😱Jodie Foster's daughter in The Panic Room had 'the watch' - I got very excited, but then realized it was fiction...boo hoo.🙄
