No offense intended.
Just for me, I didn't really look at anything apart from burning fat.
After that, I looked at I looked at macro nutrition.
I did exercise though, to try to keep muscle tone, so I was focused on burning fat rather than proteins

just noticed the c reactive protein level - dont know what thats a test for

I guess my doctor will explain it all to me on Tuesday 🙂 sorry to bombard you

Erm.
You are badly.
You ate much better.
Not a fasting test?
What did you eat before?
Do you mean before my test, I had a bowl of porridge, cherries and benecol

The HB1ac was not fasting and historically although it had edged to 7 from 5.6 over 18 years the last test was a shock at 8.2.
I assume the cholesterol wasn't fasting.
But the Hba1c is creeping up, so my plan would be to look at reducing carbs, and talking to my doctor about other meds to be totally honest.

I wasnt told to fast, should I have?

sorry I realise I replied to the wrong post, and it wasnt for me 🙂

I don’t take anything at all for diabetes. I really want to avoid having met Forman as it scares me. I guess I need to see my result this year to assess the situation.

Erm, that's the issue.
Ignore the trigs from this.
I always have a fasting test.
Which simply means don't eat.
Unfortunately, the public led the way, and piled on the food before going for tests, so the GP stopped saying a fasting test was better.
But, honestly, it is.
Trigs are a reaction to digesting carbs
You basically just measured the porridge!

I had no issues with Metformin.
It's a very tried and tested med.

will this also be the same for cholesterol

Your liver is working.
The rest of you is fine, no infection, nothing bad going on 🙂
thats also only high on the first test in July when I had an infection, so it shows inflammation which makes sense, just googled 🙂

And never go for a blood test after drinking a tanker of gin during lockdown.
No driving, no social responsibility, afternoons in the hot tub, ........
