Hello all - long time no post.
Is there anyone who has ever had to use a temperature probe for the feet as I am trying to buy one. Apparently I can get a thermometer that you shove just about anywhere else but not on my feet!!
I know it sounds odd but with the Charcot, temperature is the way you tell if its still happening and I'm getting increasingly irritated that the medical staff looking after my feet only use their hands and maintain that they can tell temperature difference of only a couple of degrees. I'm sorry but I think thats rubbish and when I take my foot out of a polystyrene lined, velour sock type thing in a vac-ped boot, obviously its going to be hot!!!
The only digital probe I have seen is being used by the podiatrist at the hospital where I go for my diabetic care however the Charcot is being taken care of at another hospital who do not have a probe. I want my own - any suggestions
Thanks
SusieB
