There is a mum right now consoling her son, who is distraught after seeing the ad tonight.

Yes I know this boy, he is only 4. I have asked his mother if we can use this story if needed and she confirmed. The boy's grandmother died just before Christmas, she was diabetic (no idea whether 1 or 2) and he thought that was because of her diabetes and now this advert has confirmed it for his 4 year old mind, he was inconsolable. His poor mum is distraught.

Thanks for explaining Adrienne, I didn't want to put in too much detail without checking it was ok first. Hope they are a bit better today, although I doubt it as he just wouldn't believe it wasn't diabetes that caused it anyway. I can see why the ad has confirmed his thoughts even more.

I was thinking it's only safe to watch BBC, but even that's not the case with plans to show it it schools. 😡
