Has anyone needed yag laser soon after cataract surgery? I've been told I need it as the capsule the new lens is put in has started to turn opaque which decreases the bit of sight I've got. I've read about it and the laser burns away the opaque part of the capsule so light can get through to the retina but I'd hoped the need for laser anywhere near my eyes was over..
The ophthalmologist told me it usually happens in younger people who have cataracts - (I'm pleased I still fall in that category). I just want to know if it solved the problem completely or if there were any ongoing issues with pressure changes in the eye etc.
Oh the challenges of eye complications ! 🙄
