Hiya all
I think I may have corrected a hypo in my sleep but I don't remember it at all.
I was 5.7 before bed and woke up to 8.0. The lucozade was open and finished on the bedside table.
Has anyone else done this?

I've never treated a hypo in my sleep but I have done things like cleaned sinks and put clothes away in my sleep.

That is an unusual one! The only thing I can think is that the hypo woke you but you were still half-asleep and disorientated and acted on instinct to treat yourself - then promptly forgot all about it! 😱

Hasn't happened to me that I am aware of, but I have jelly babies by my bed and probably wouldn't notice if a couple of them had gone/run away in the night.

I wish my sink would get cleaned overnight and clothes put away! :D

I wouldn't worry too much, you probably were still half-asleep and just treated and then fell asleep straight afterwards and forgot you did it 🙂 This has happened to me too, I woke up on the floor at about 3am one night surrounded by the wrappers from my box of celebrations I'd had for Christmas. I wasn't sure if I'd been half-asleep or maybe so low that I couldn't remember it happening. It made my mum laugh though, she said it was something the Vicar of Dibley would do haha :D

Yep, it's happened to me, quite a lot actually! Although interestingly, it was in the year or so leading up to my T1 diagnosis. I would often get up in the night with a strong urge to eat. And it was always sweet things i needed, so when i was eventually diagnosed, i retrospectively assumed it had been due to low BGs.

It's slightly unnerving to see the aftermath in the morning, yet have no recollection of the deed!

I've seen a documentary about this subject, and for the non diabetics out there who do it, it's actually either a sleep disorder, or eating disorder (can't remember which way round it's classed) but folks can end up cooking an entire meal without knowing about it, or indeed hurting themselves!

Thanks guys. I feel so reassured by your posts. I just need to work out how to get the ironing done without remembering it.

Yes I have done this! It was because I had a bad hypo whilst having a nap. I woke up to treat the hypo but because I was still tired and my hypo was bad I forgot all about it until I woke up cuddling my glucose tabs! Thankfully I was "with it" enough to treat myself!
