I’ve had a couple of endoscopies in my time and they aren’t the most pleasant experience but also are not that bad. I have definitely had worse procedures! It doesn’t hurt as they numb your throat. I have had it done with the sedative and without. Without is better IMO because you can go home pretty much straight away and don’t have the recovery to do. But you do what’s best for you. You can do it!
I am not worried about the endoscopy. I had one many years ago. It's what they may find that scares me and the waiting. My panic attacks are increasing

That sounds really tough, I hope you don't have to wait too long.

I know this reply is late and I want to thank you for your advice. I suffer also from Clinical Depression and anxiety hence my stress and with Covid its twenty times worse. Today I was informed after two lots of bloods I am anaemic!! and GP is trying to kill me by sending me for an Endoscopy!!. Gluten intolerance can cause anaemia so can taking Metformin but she is not listening. So Covid jab tomorrow and I am so stressed I don't even care
I'm sorry you are feeling so anxious about life at the moment. You have a lot going on.

I hope you find at least one aspect of your anxiety eases a bit once you've had your first dose of vaccine.
