Ok, slightly off topic here, but hoping someone will have the answers. I am quite happy to go along with the 'higher fats lower carbs' thing as lowering cholesterol and helping with diabetes in general. BUT all I read says it has to be saturated fats that you increase to help. And I have a problem with them-I just dont digest them well. So I avoid them in large quantities. So the question is, do unsaturated fats have a similar effect (I tolerate them better)? Or a different effect?
