Hi,

Can anyone tell me if there is a body wash that is diabetes friendly? I'm nervous to use just any body wash in case it has an affect on my feet.

Thanks.

Never heard of any soaps or body washes being a problem for people with diabetes. I would just choose whichever you like and suits you.

I can't think of any way in which body wash could harm your feet. You do need to make sure you rinse your hands thoroughly before you test your blood sugar if you've got something like body wash on them, as some soaps and gels and things like that can give a false reading if you've got them on your fingers when you test, but I can't think of any other diabetes-related issues with them.

You shouldn't have any problems with body washes, just make sure your feet are properly and thoroughly dry 🙂 I have always suffered with dry feet and getting worse again with having to wear socks/slippers permanently with it getting colder so I'm using Vaseline body lotion on them

As for body washes I've used Imperial Leather Marshmallow, Love Hearts etc to Lynx stuff and never had a problem
xx

I think for most people who have well controlled BS you don't need to worry about your feet and body wash brand

Your skin is waterproof. And shower gel proof. Even the heroic bacteria and fungi that live on your skin aren’t significantly affected by shower gel, so no need to worry. Just don’t use anti-perspirants on your feet.

Been a T1 for a long time and use any type of bodywash, at the moment using Dave as has moisturiser in it simple because my skin is really dry at the moment. Not diabetic related.
