If I came off the medication as the doctor said to will this improve anyone had this experience
Unlikely - the reduction in the glucose in your tissues has caused your lenses to change shape - probably.
If you keep to the same regime as you have adopted your lenses should adjust - you might even see a slight improvement in your eyesight. I had to move the monitor a few inches further back on the desk to compensate for the change.
What is not a good idea is, having changed, to try to go back down the higher glucose route - sticking to your new normal would be the safest option.
Your sugar levels are unlikely to go up if you do stop the metformin - but it is just one more thing to cope with if you do.
