Unlikely - the reduction in the glucose in your tissues has caused your lenses to change shape - probably.If I came off the medication as the doctor said to will this improve anyone had this experience
If you keep to the same regime as you have adopted your lenses should adjust - you might even see a slight improvement in your eyesight. I had to move the monitor a few inches further back on the desk to compensate for the change.
What is not a good idea is, having changed, to try to go back down the higher glucose route - sticking to your new normal would be the safest option.
Your sugar levels are unlikely to go up if you do stop the metformin - but it is just one more thing to cope with if you do.
