Hi all
I'm new here, not diagnosed as diabetic, but I have recently purchased a bg monitor after it is recommended to check fasting glucose before starting Michael Mosleys blood sugar diet which I am intending to start on tuesday when the kids go back to school.
I was shocked to find my fasting level after 10 hours overnight is 6.7 mmol. This has been same last two mornings.
I have just measured my blood sugar again, two hours after lunch which was a chicken fajita wrap, then a pink lady apple around 40 minutes before I did the test. Was 25.5mmol!
Should i be massively concerned with these numbers? I am around 3 stones overweight and am conscious of reducing this but wondering if i should be making an appointment asap rather than giving it a few weeks to see if the blood sugar diet improves things.
Thanks for anyone reading
