Kaylz - My hands go through phases of being a bit dire. I'm now linking it to times I inadvertently have gluten (grrrr! Bangs head on desk).

Anyway, when they're at their worst (dry, hard and tend to crack in the bends of my index fingers and thumbs), I use Neutragena , or Nivea Rescue and Care during the day. Both are very food. I also have some lovely Soap and Glory hand cream which pleasant too, but not as "heavy duty" as the others.

At night, at those times, I wear some cotton gloves (from eBay at about £1 a pair) and lather my hands up with E45 or the like and go off to bed. It works, but is a bit odd the first few times, and of course my OH had a bit of a chuckle about it all. In the morning, I just turn the gloves outside in and throw them in the washing basket.

Of course, the real answer, for me, would be not trip up with gluten, but that can be easier said than done sometimes.

Since you aren't opposed to wearing gloves at night, I use Fifty/50. Part paraffin, part gasoline. On my hands at night, with cotton gloves. On my heels in the morning, then knee socks. From my podiatrist. I but it online, through Amazon. That's less dear than the chemist.

Woohoo my local avon rep (just round the back from me as I've found out) has just delivered a book so away to have a look in a bit when the mothers finished with it 🙄 x

This is the worst split I have at the moment with others all over the place :(

Oooo that looks nasty Kaylz ~ try Lemskin with Glycerine ~ it's an oldun but works miracles I promise you and it's not expensive on line ~ like others have said slather your hands in whatever cream you use when you go to bed and wear a pair of cotton gloves all night ~ and every night til your hands have healed xx

Next time you're in Asda go to the Pharmacy there ~ they're always very helpful xx
The nearest Asda doesn't have a -pharmacy bit lol x

Sounds strange but some of the stuff the joiners use is good ! think its called working hands usually in wickes or places like that or have you tried coconut oil but just a wee bit as it can be greasy

Yeah I think your talking about O'keeffes working hands, I had a look at it but the Neutrogena seems to be working just now so I'll stick with it for a bit before I start spending a fortune on other ones! lol, and no I don't fancy the coconut oil route at all as I hate the feeling of greasy hands haha, thanks though 🙂 xx
