I think the precautionary glucose tablets in the pocket would probably suffice Bill. Not an unreasonable suggestion really.
Absolutely, we should all carry them, me included.
Just trying to be humorous, which is usually a mistake.
Hi, sorry to hear about all that, sounds like a very stressful situation. Could I make a small suggestion, I always carry glucose tablets in every pocket I have, every place I go, in the car, next to the bed, with friends and family. That way you I should never be wthout hypo treatment.
I knew you were using extremes to highlight the ridiculousness of it all in a caustic 'humorous' way Bill. However you came over angry and critical of Amity Island's suggestion which ruffles feathers. I think using Amity's post to make your comments was a little discourteous and I'd be surprised if you intended to be.
I actually can't use them. I cant open the tube when hypoing. I use these: http://www.boots.com/glucotabs-gluc...YtLJmhR6utTtPo5tOJb21E1lqaFgmlNBoCr0AQAvD_BwEhttps://www.chemist.co.uk/lucozade-...MImKi3wJ2S1QIViKntCh2RowVCEAQYASABEgKIR_D_BwE
89p. Everyone should carry them, have to admit I wouldn't have thought of it.
He did have some which the cuddly bouncers kept inside.

Hannah I feel there has been some miscommunication here...Andrew says he was the victim of an assault by the security staff...neither of the links above would cover what would amount to a criminal investigation once this is reported to the police...criminal investigations are their sole province...once an investigation had been concluded...it would be referred to the CPS for advice on whether to charge or not.Hi Andrew, really disappointing to hear of your experience. Glad to hear that you have taken action in reporting this and visiting your student union. Sorry that I am a little delayed in responding, but if you are still looking for support with this, you are very welcome to contact our Advocacy Team who can offer advice: https://www.diabetes.org.uk/How_we_help/Helpline/Your-rights/
The night club and security staff would be considered a 'Service Provider' and therefore need to abide by the Equality Act. It sounds as though this is a specific incident which was the result of an individuals action rather than the rules and policies of an organisation, but it may be helpful for you to look at our Service Providers and diabetes advocacy pack: https://www.diabetes.org.uk/Upload/How we help/Avocacy/01066AA Advocacy pack_Service providers V2.pdf
Glad to see that you have reported this incident to the Police as well. Let us know how you get on.
